Emma Kay 'Worldview'
Emma Kay uses her own memory to write down the history of the world in the above piece. There are spaces left out within it, which must be parts which she doesn't know or cant remember.
She does the same with the map of the world, which is interesting to me, as her memories of different countries/areas will most definitely influence how she remembers where all the countries fit.

Hanging Maps
I have decided to use these two maps, the one on the left has had major roads cut from it and the one on the right is of lancashire and yorkshire which is where I have lived since I moved to England from Saudi Arabia. I have cut out all the places of significance to me on this map. I am planning on projecting light through them to then look at what shapes the light produces on the wall behind.

Maps

Couldnt post this image onto blogger so this is link to page. They made a map and a work of sound art called Journey Around My World. They captured their ideas, emotions and sensory experiences as they worked together.
You can use the map and the audio tracks below to trace their ideas and reactions as they encountered works of art at Tate Britain and mapped the geography of London and their lives. Interesting ways of looking at maps and incorporating audio of their thoughts alongside the pictures.
